The focus of Dr. Kawut's research group is the role of the pulmonary vasculature and right-ventricular function in health and disease. His group leads or contributes to epidemiologic studies and to clinical trials of pulmonary hypertension, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and lung transplantation.
