Pamela Weiss, MD, MSCE

Professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology

Pamela Weiss, MD, MSCE is Associate Director for Clinical Trials the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Clinical Research Director and attending physician in the Division of Rheumatology, Director of the CHOP Clinical Trials Research Affinity group, and a Professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

She is an experienced academic pediatric rheumatologist with advanced training in clinical epidemiology. Her research focus includes the epidemiology of and clinical trials in children with spondyloarthritis and juvenile arthritis. Dr. Weiss’s research on juvenile spondyloarthritis is internationally recognized and she has had continuous foundation and/or federal funding for over a decade. She strives to provide superior clinical care for children with rheumatic disease, use pediatric rheumatology as a platform to share her enthusiasm with students at all levels, and make meaningful contributions to advance the care of children with arthritis through clinical research activities.
